The Jerusalem Airport lies along the road that links Jerusalem to Ramallah. Occupied by the IOF since 1967, it sits 5 kilometers from Ramallah and 10 kilometers from Jerusalem. Today, a massive military checkpoint to the east of the runway blocks the Jerusalem-Ramallah road, turning it into a dead-end street. Awwad discovers that life has not always been like this.
